Stirling Castle, June 9

A: Stirling Castle was on a very high hill, and you could see for miles. The Battle of Bannockburn, which was Robert the Bruce’s big victory, was nearby. The castle has a military museum. I liked seeing all the old weapons of the Scottish regiments. I liked the room where you got to put on clothes like a character from the 1500s. It was fun to see how you would look.

E:  Mary Queen of Scots was born at the castle and crowned queen at the castle when she was a baby. I loved this place where you could dress up like royals. I liked seeing people dressed up as people who worked in the castle and hearing them talk about what happened in the castle. It was cool how they used gold stucco to cover the buildings to make them look fancy. It was nicknamed King’s Gold.

S: My favorite room was the music vault. There was a piano, cello, harp, and drums. I liked playing a few of my piano songs. I also liked cannon battery and walking on the keep around the castle. You could see the town and the landscape and the highlands and lowlands clearly separated.
