London, British Museum, June 17

Outside the British Museum

S: The British Museum was cool. I saw a mummified cat, mummified kitten, and two Persian gold bracelets and a mosaic that are in my history book. Seeing them in person was excellent.
A: We saw an exhibit on ancient Egypt. It had a lot of real mummies. We could see all the hieroglyphic writing in the sarcophaguses.  There were lots ancient Egyptian statues of pharos and gods. I thought it was cool because all of it is so old but is in good shape.
Parts of the Parthenon
E: The British Museum was really cool. We saw the Rosetta stone which is a big stone used to figure out Egyptian hieroglyphics. I liked seeing all the statutes of Greek goddesses and gods. A lot of the statues had their heads chopped off and arms missing.

Painted glazed brick from ancient Persia, recognized from one of S's books
